Description

Microfilm table used and designed by Lennart Setterdahl.

Context

Lennart used this table and camera (2000.89.1.B) to microfilm millions of pages. This table was specialized for books. The two platforms beneath the glass could be raised and lowered to press the book's pages evenly against the glass for a flat image. The glass made lighting tricky, so Lennart often filmed in dark spaces where he could control the light.
