Child's red vest, part of a boy's Swedish folk costume representing Leksand in the province of Dalarna. The vest has 7 gold painted buttons (one is missing on the right-hand side), and fringe lining the collar. The inside is lined with linen. The outside is wool, the back panel is black.Context
Inger and Harold Gustafson purchased the costume for their son, Nils, in the 1940s-1950s. It was then given to the donor's mother.
