Pants worn by Norman D. Johnson when he served in the US Navy during WWII. The pants are part of a Ex O uniform worn for formal occasions.
The pants are navy, matching the jacket. On the inside lining, there are various tags. One, along the zipper, is paper stapled to the fabric which reads "CS-7" on the front and "9986" on the back. There is a red tag along the pocket lining. It has two staples in it and reads "22-716" (in ink) "- N NESNHOC" (in pen). Next to this tag is another, white in color. It has two staples in it attaching it to the pants, and says "Press" on the side facing the lining and "64" written in pen on the other side. There is a white tag glued to the lining in the back, it reads "Norman Johnson". On the back side of the lining of the back pocket, there is a tag sewn into the lining. It reads "Name: Norman D. Johnson / 1221 Cleveland Street / Wilmette, Ill." Underneath where it says Wilmette, Ill, is "33 long, W 39". His name and address are stamped again below this time where it says "Size" and "Lot".Acquisition
