Scope and Content

The photo was taken in 1923 by J.J. Fein Studios.

Context

This is a set of four photographs of Pastor Nelson and his family that were taken in the early or mid 20th. century, all of which are related to Chicago's Bethany Church in one way or another. With the exception of Pastor Nelson, all of the people in the photo are Sunday School teachers and the names of 14 of them are listed on the back of the picture.
