Scope and Content

A photo of the Ordination Service of Philip L. Nelson and Norman A. Nelson on June 14, 1953.

Context

This is a set of four photographs of Pastor Nelson and his family that were taken in the early or mid 20th. century, all of which are related to Chicago's Bethany Church in one way or another. Four men are in the photo and from left to right, they are Arnold Nelson, the oldest son of Olof and Anna Nelson's family and ordained in 1945, Norman A. Nelson, Philip L. Nelson, and Olof H. Nelson, the latter of whom was ordained on June 12, 1910 and they're all wearing white shirts, brown gowns, and thin gold-colored scarves.
