First section of the newspaper "Svenska Amerikanaren Tribunen" for Oct. 7, 1964. Edition is a special "Andersonville U.S.A." edition.
Context
Despite the exodus of many Swedes to Chicago's far northwest side and various parts of suburbia in the 1940's, 1950's, and 1960's, the Andersonville neighborhood continued to thrive as a Swedish community in the mid 1960's and many articles in this edition of Svenska Amerikanaren Tribunen reflect the determination of numerous Swedes to remain in the area.
