While inhabiting our gallery as his workspace, Rafael E. Vera examined the floor in great detail and captured images using a macro lens attached to his phone camera, a set of studio lights, and his own body. This book is a collection of those images, each take meticulously crafted by changing the color temperature of the lights and altering their cast using his hands, transforming photographs of a concrete floor into images that recall underwater vistas, galactic voyages, extraterrestrial landscapes, and microscopic slides.Location
