Preliminary rough and composite sketch for "Biography of Abraham Lincoln in Woodcuts". A man sharpens the end of a cross which bears the word mother over a fresh grave. Two small children lie prostrate over bottom of grave grieving while a dark figure stands in the background with a shovel. Printed in the United States at Chicago 1933 during 'A Century of Progress Exposition'"
