Brianna learned to knit as a teenager, but it wasn't until recently that she picked it up again with renewed excitement -- now, she always has a project or two in the works! She loves that knitting can serve as a time capsule and always remembers what was going on in her life while she was knitting a particular project. She often knits while riding public transit, in cars, or on planes, so when she wears finished pieces she'll think of the travels that the work-in-progress was a part of. This swatch was made during an eventful and difficult time for her -- she worked the first two rows while sitting in a hospital before having surgery. Even though this swatch was quick work, knitting it was respite and distracted from the complexities of the present.
