Description

Wheel darner with convex top on handle. Wheel and top 2/3 of handle are made of wood and painted blue. Top of wheel has metal plate with grooves running perpendicular to each other. Fabric would be stretched over top of wheel and held in place on sides with missing fabric holder. Grooves on metal plate make it easier to guide the mending needle. Metal plate can be brought down by pulling metal piece at bottom of handle. Around edge of wheel reads, "(No. 2) The "ALL SQUARE" DARNER. For Woolen Hose Underwear Etc. ENGLISH INVENTION. MADE IN ENGLAND. PATENT APP." Blue paint chipping on handle and top of wheel.
