Broken rib patternEntry/Object ID
2020.1.8Description
From the book: "This is a very popular pattern for sport sweaters and jackets. It resembles ribbing but does not have the elasticity of a true ribbin. When a Broken Rib forms the fabric of a sweater, it should be used as a continuation of Knit-One Purl-One Ribbing — the knit stitches of the pattern falling directly above the knit stitches of the ribbing. Both Broken Rib and Double Broken Rib show an interesting texture on the wrong side, for anyone in search of a rough, nubby fabric that is easy to work."Collection
