Description

From the book: "This pattern is particularly effective in variegated or ombre yarns; the shading of colors displays the alternating bias slant of the stitches very well. Horizontal stripes in contrasting colors also make a striking chevron effect."

Notes

Suzy was taught to knit either by her grandmother or her mother, though she can’t remember which one. Regardless, knitting was part of her early life, and she can remember her grandmother’s ribbon knit dress, and that her own first project was a pair of navy blue mittens - one of which had a longer, more pointed thumb than the other! She put down her needles to raise her children, but once they left for college she picked them back up and hasn’t stopped since! She is recently retired and loves having more time to travel, to enjoy the company of family and friends, and to knit, and sometimes she gets to combine all three at the same time.
