Crochet-knit shell patternEntry/Object ID

From the book: "This does resemble a dainty crocheted shell. It is loose and lacy, and to be most successful it should be knitted with very fine yarn and needles. Several repeats of the pattern rows will make a lovely border for collars, cuffs, gauntlets of lace or openwork gloves, or the hem of an overblouse - the number of rows worked depending upon the depth of border wanted."Collection

Originally from Wisconsin, Katie learned to knit and embroider from her grandma while staying at their farm during summer breaks. Her grandma owned several Barabar Walker Treasuries that she would flip through for inspiration, but this project is her first time knitting a swatch. She used needles passed down from her grandma and yarn from her local yarn store. She loves that knitting is more than a product - it is history & memory, materials & process.Lexicon
