Crown of glory

Name/Title

Crown of glory

Entry/Object ID

2020.1.307

Description

From the book: "The Crown of Glory is a traditional Shetland pattern, which is best worked in fine yarn on small needles because of the very large eyelets caused by the three yarn-overs in Row 3, which form the bottom opening of each 'crown.' Note that the number of stitches does not remain constant through Rows 1-7, but accurate count may be taken on Rows 8-12."

Notes

Claudia learned to crochet when she was 5 from nuns that were her nannies, and learned to knit in her 20s from her aunt. She loves all fiber arts and especially likes making soft textile sculptures. She was fortunate enough to meet Barbara Walker in 2009 at the Sock Summit!
