Daisy stitch

Description

From the book: "This beautiful fabric is a relative of Trinity Stitch, although both technique and appearance are different. Daisy Stitch is definitely feminine, dressy, and decorative. It can be used in many ways to make delightful garments for women and girls, or pretty baby blankets. It makes a flat, shapely piece, requiring little or no blocking."

Notes

Anne-Renee comes from a long line of stitchers. Her great-grandmother ran a lace-making operation and her grandmother and mother stitched their whole lives. Her mother taught her quilting in the Los Angeles area starting in the mid-seventies. She started stitching regularly when her mother-in-law taught her to crochet baby blankets when her children were born. Now she knits and sews daily. She sees stitching in all its forms as a labor of love that is meditative and satisfying like nothing else.
