Double seed stitchEntry/Object ID
2020.1.5Description
From the book: "Double Seed Stitch probably should be called "double moss stitch", since like Moss Stitch it requires four rows to complete the pattern. It consists of a k2, p2 ribbing broken every other row. For all its simplicity it gives a very beautiful texture, and may be used in place of plain stockinette for almost any type of garment. It resists curling out of shape, looks the same on both sides, and seldom requires any extensive blocking."Collection

Helen has worked in magazine publishing for over 20 years, but it wasn't until she began working for a knitting magazine in 2008 that she fell in love with the craft. She has a passion for regional knitting traditions, such as Fair Isle, Shetland Lace, Estonian Lace, etc. She has had the pleasure of interviewing many knitwear designers over the years and the overwhelming majority of them have cited Barbara Walker as having a major influence of their careers.Lexicon
