Anne-Renee comes from a long line of stitchers. Her great-grandmother ran a lace-making operation and her grandmother and mother stitched their whole lives. Her mother taught her quilting in the Los Angeles area starting in the mid-seventies. She started stitching regularly when her mother-in-law taught her to crochet baby blankets when her children were born. Now she knits and sews daily. She sees stitching in all its forms as a labor of love that is meditative and satisfying like nothing else.Lexicon
