Mushroom darner on handle. Top painted red with white polka dots, bottom of mushroom and handle painted white. Bottom of handle painted green to look like grass. Much of the paint on handle has been worn away from use, especially at bottom. Paint on top of the darner shows cracking. A mushroom darner that is painted red with white or light-colored spots is typical of the darners made in the farm regions of the northern part of Germany in Erz Gebirge and the Harz mountains.Collection
