Description

Mushroom darner on wooden handle. Mushroom is enameled red and painted with white dots. Paint on top of darner shows cracking. A mushroom darner that is painted red with white or light-colored spots is typical of the darners made in the farm regions of the northern part of Germany in Erz Gebirge and the Harz mountains. Bottom of mushroom marked "Germany." Enamel on top of mushroom is heavily cracked and chipped from previous use.
