Elizabeth is 27 years old and originally from Havana, Cuba. She learned to knit at age 7 from a neighbor and has never stopped creating since. She has a 6-year-old daughter who was her faithful companion while knitting this swatch, and she is very glad her daughter is growing up surrounded by fiber and yarn. While she has knit everything from handbags to dog sweaters, this is her first piece directly inspired by Barbara Walker. This project has helped her overcome her fear of “stitch books” and has inspired her to try her hand at new, exciting, and creative projects.
