Quartered diamonds

Name/Title

Quartered diamonds

Entry/Object ID

Description

From the book: "A number of novel knitting techniques are displayed in this interesting pattern. Notice the difference in the method of twisting stitches so that they travel diagonally, between this pattern and others. Since the Diamonds are arranged in panel fashion, this is a very good pattern for fancy sweaters incorporating cables and other panel patterns. The Quartered Diamond pattern may be working in a single panel of 18 stitches."

Notes

Missy learned to knit over 25 years ago. Her mother and grandmothers taught her how to crochet and a cousin taught her to knit. She used to knit gifts but now she knits more for pleasure and for herself. Knitting has gotten her through several deaths as well as joyful times. She loves the camaraderie of other knitters, and she knits daily. She is always looking for a new pattern and when she travels she searches out local yarn shops as much as possible -- yarn is the best souvenir!
