Tunisian rib stitchEntry/Object ID

From the book: "Tunisian Rib Stitch is a Westernization of true Tunisian knitting, which is a special technique, sometimes awkward for Western hands and habits. The rib version, however, can be done quite easily by our customary methods. Tunisian Rib Stitch is dense in the vertical dimension, and hence good for jackets, coats, ski sweaters, and other articles requiring a fabric with warmth and body."Collection

Deborah was born in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Although she remembers her relatives often knitting or crocheting, she was left to her own devices to learn these skills. She taught herself to crochet from “How-To” books purchased from W.T. Grant. As time rolled on, she delved into crafts like macrame and quilting but never mastered knitting. After relocating to Virginia, she decided to start knitting, joined a square of the month club, and never looked back. She is currently fascinated with knitting lace shawls and plans to add the Barbara Walker Treasuries to her knitting library.Lexicon
