Description

Woman's white cotton camiknickers. Broad round neckline front and back, missing drawstring. Neckline and front yoke trimmed with machine made lace showing bows. Similar lace at armholes and leg frills. Narrow ribbon across bust (yellowed probably by chlorine bleach). Centre front opening fastened by six fabric covered buttons.

Context

The step-in was made popular in the 1920s, as it is easy to step into one and to pull the straps up over the shoulders without disturbing one's hair.
