Description

Round, bronze coloured prize medal from the 1967 Pacific National Exhibition in Vancouver, Canada. Front of medal depicts a columned building with a sign reading "EXHIBITION PARK". Around the edge of the medal is text reading "PACIFIC NATIONAL EXHIBITION / VANCOUVER BRITISH COLUMBIA." Back of medal depicts a mountainous forest scene. Around the edge is text reading "1867 CANADIAN CENTENARY 1967 / CENTURY PACIFIC."

Use

This 1967 PNE Centennial medal was awarded to a Mrs. Vilhelmiina Hakli for her submission of a neulakinnas sweater to the Pacific National Exhibition hand crafts competition. Being the only item of its kind ever submitted to the competition, her sweater was assigned a special class and won this medal in the new category.
