Envelope style handbag. Ivory coloured faux leather with stamped landscapes, flowers and Japanese characters. Bag lined in checked rayon damask in yellow. Several inner pockets, one closes with a zipper marked "chic ultra fine". Small mirror hinged to inside front flap. Flap closes with one snap fastener. Plastic ivory coloured elephant fixed to outside flap as ornament. Opening flap of purse depicts a scene of several men in robes, as well as a woman being pulled in a rickshaw, in front of a torii gate and forested Shinto shrine.Acquisition
