Chain mail chatelaine handbag. Rectangular bottom with a top shaped like an inverted "V". Body of bag is made of interlinked rings of thin grey wire that are partly coloured orange, yellow, and black. Bottom of bag is trimmed with a chain fringe. At the bag opening at the top, a thin gold metal spring is threaded through the chains. This wire attaches the bag body to two gold metal frames, which have an angular inverted "V" shape and decorative engraving. The frames allow the bag to be opened and closed, and have a clasp closure at their top points. The clasps are made of gold metal and opaque blue glass (?). Gold metal cable chain strap, one end attached to the first frame and the other end to the second frame.Acquisition
