Worn by the donor's mother on her wedding day in 1949.
The dress itself originally belonged to the donor's grandmother, who wore it on her own wedding day in Athens in the late 1890s. It was remade into its current form by the donor's mother in preparation for her own wedding day.
The donor's mother and father immigrated to Canada in 1957, bringing this dress with them.Acquisition
