Part A) Thick white linen vest with floral woolen embroidery. Flat and folded collar, embroidered around the outside edge with red, yellow, pink, and black flowers. Front of vest is open and embroidered with broad diagonal bands of the same. Shoulders of vest are covered in geometric yellow embroidery embellished with small beads. Two lines of floral embroidery down back of best. No lining inside vest.
Part B) Rectangular fragment of linen embellished with a single line of floral embroidery, as in Part A.Use
This vest appears to have been made from a shirt (similar to 2007.2.106); one worn often enough that the dyes in the embroidery have begun to fade from over-washing.Acquisition
