Part A) Black silk coat with multicoloured Chinese embroidery. Standing collar with pink piping at outside edges. Around neck is embroidered with flowers and branches in shades of green, pink, and brown. Three black frog closures at neck and down center front of coat. Broad, elbow-length sleeves, also trimmed with pink piping and floral embroidery at arm opening. Front and back of coat is embroidered with large chrysanthemums encircled with smaller blooms in shades of pink, green, blue and brown. Vent at left and right side of bottom hems. Front opening of coat bisects this embroidery. Inside of coat is lined in pink.
Part B) Black silk pajama bottoms. Waist has elasticated band inserted in the back. A V-shaped notch is in the center front of waistband. The legs are straight and wide, falling to approximately calf-length. Bottom hem of bottoms are edged with pink piping and embroidered with flowers and branches in shades of green, pink, blue and brown. The outsides of each leg is embroidered with a large chrysanthemum in the same colours. Inside of bottoms are lined in pink.
Part C) Black silk pajama top. Sleeveless. V-neck in front and back. Single black frog closure at back neckline. Body of top is rectangular in shape and not fitted. A chrysanthemum in shades of pink surrounded by floral sprigs in green, blue, brown and mauve are embroidered on the center front. Inside of top is lined in pink.Acquisition
