Part A) Man's black wool jacket. Folded collar and notched lapels. Shaped wrist-length sleeves with two self-covered buttons trimming wrist opening. Single breasted, with three self-covered buttons. Buttonhole in left lapel. Broad welt pocket at left breast, and single slash pocket inside right front. Jacket has long vent in back from bottom hem to waistline, with two decorative buttons on either side at waist. Single knife pleat in each jacket "tail." Lined with black silk.
Part B) Black wool vest. V-neckline and low armholes. Six self-covered button closure down center front. Four broad welt pockets; one at each breast and one at each hem. Back is faced with black satin. Martingale at back waist, with black painted rectangular button showing chips in paint, exposing gold-coloured metal. Inside of vest is lined with pin striped white satin.Acquisition
