Description

Red and black woman's dress made to look like a two-piece suit. Low armholes and elbow-length sleeves with folded black cuffs. "V" neck in front with a flat and folded black collar and notched lapel. Right front of "suit jacket" is wrapped over the left and fastens at left waist with hook, over which is a decorative self-covered button. Bust is shaped. Coat has a natural waist and a short flared peplum. The skirt is calf-length and appears to wrap from right to left. When coat opens, the skirt is composed of the outer red layer as well as a semi-concealed black panel. Together, these two panels form a full skirt that secure at waist with a hook fastener. The black panel is knife pleated and visible at the rightmost edge of the faux wrap skirt. Back of the skirt, from waistline to bottom hem, has two box pleats.
