Description

Part A) Black floral (chrysanthemum?) damask evening gown. Sleeveless. Deep V neck in front with triangular white lace and chiffon insert. Vertical tucking at each shoulder. Dress tapers to bottom hem, with a tucked self-fabric belt creating an artificial waistline at about hip-height. At left waist, on top of belt, is a silver rhinestone ornament in a metal frame. Skirt is about calf-length. Bottom hem is edged with a broad band of satin. Part B) Black damask jacket with crepe sleeves. Body of jacket is open down center front and composed of same black damask as Part A. White floral lace collar. Sleeves are wrist-length with cuffs made of same lace. Weights inserted at bottom hem of jacket opening. Part C) Black silk underdress with georgette crepe sleeves.
