Scissors and shears. -- In scissors &c. of the type in which the blades are connected by an eccentric pivot C, Fig. 1, and further secured by a pin E working in a slot in the blade A, one blade A is ground to form a straight, plain resisting-edge to the cutting-blade B, which is hollow on the inner face as shown in Fig. 3, and the cutting-edge of which is curved longitudinally as shown in Fig. 1. The invention may be applied to scissors for use in removing the clothing &c. of patients, and to scissors &c. for cutting thick leather &c.; and, according to the Provisional Specification, it may also be applied to garden shears having the well known hook-shaped blade.
