Description

11,544. Frielinghaus, F. Sept. 11. Shears, sheep. The blades A are held against the plates B and abutments C by screws D. The abutments overlap at E, and are bent at right-angles so as to prevent the blades from opening too far. The handles F are trough-shaped and provided with feet G, H, which are screwed to the spring I. One of the feet H is made rather larger than the other, and has a slightly-rounded bearing surface so that the spring I can be slightly twisted by means of the thumb-screw J. This enables the operator to regulate the pressure of the blades on one another.
