Scissors and shears. -- One or both blades are spirally formed, or may be flat and arranged at an angle with the pivot or with one another. Fig. 10 shows an arrangement for producing a drawing or slicing cut when dividing the fabric &c. Both blades are spirally formed, the blade a having a pin mounted in ia bearing c on its handle e and rotated when the handles are operated by a pinion w engaging a stationary segment w1 formed on the pivot i. Fig. 2 shows a form with one flat and one spiral blade. Fig 8 shows a form for metal shears, both blades being flat but arranged at right-angles to one another.
