Shears. -- To enable double the quantity of wool &c. to be cut at one operation by sheep or other shears, a two-edged blade C is fixed between the ordinary blades. A, B, thereby forming two set of cutting-edges. The two half bows of the outer blades may be secured by rivets F to a clip D, through which and through an aperture in the centre blade C a wedge E is driven to secure the blade C in place. Forcing out the wedge E allows the blades to be separated for sharpening. The blade C may be fastened by riveting or otherwise instead of by the wedge E.Cataloged By
