Shears. -- Sheep shears are provided with removable resilient stops of cork, rubber, leather, &c. so adjusted that, when the stops meet, the points of the blades lie over one another. The stops D are shaped at the ends to slide in undercut grooves in the handles B, preferably formed by turning the edges of the handle over. The stops, which may be mounted on a metal backing, are held in position by springs E with unturned ends E1, or by screws &c.Cataloged By
