Scissors and shears; pocket and like knives. -- A combination tool for motorists &c. consists of a pair of shears formed with separate blades, one of which is combined with a hammer h and the other with a spanner s. Other tools or implements may be formed on or combined with the tool. The hammer has a nail claw and the spanner is made adjustable. The two parts of the shears may be roughened as shown, to form a rough and finishing file, and one blade may be formed to be used as a knife. Both blades have a toothed recess a to form a pipe wrench. The top of one of the blades is formed for use as a screwdriver. The tool may be provided with a folding awl or gimlet. To enable the blade to be taken apart, the head of the connecting rivet is made oval, as shown.Cataloged By
