Pocket knives, scissors, &c. -- Relates to handles for folding knives, scissors, &c. The handle is formed of two strips of metal A, B folded to U-section and jointed at C as shown. The blade is jointed to the end D of the smaller, and is formed with two indentations, one E at the back and the other opposite to E in front. When folded, the blade lies in the smaller sheath B, the larger A covering the back. When open the indentation E bears against the end of the sheath B, while the other indentation bears against a projection on the sheath A, thus keeping the knife open. A small spring may be used to assist in opening.Cataloged By
