Shears, sheep. To prevent gapping and bridging, and to relieve the muscles of the hand, a guard or support is attached. It consists of a leather strap with a buckle, one end being fastened to one shank near the blade, and the other to the other shank near the bow. The guard can be regulated as desired by means of the buckle, and may be continued towards the blade to form a pad for the ball of the thumb.Cataloged By
