Scissors. -- To increase automatically the pressure between the blades during the cutting operation, a spring clip 5, Fig. 4, is attached by screws to the base of one arm of the scissors and surrounds the blades 2, 3, Fig. 3. When the scissors are shut, the bevel edges 4 on the blades expand the spring and cause it to exert its greatest pressure. As the scissors are opened, the spring resumes its normal shape and the pressure exerted becomes gradually less.Cataloged By
