Scissors; thread cutters. -- A pointed extension a of the blade b is for picking up and drawing out the threads of a fabric. The extension a is rounded on all sides, so that the threads cannot be cut until they are received on the cutting-edge k of the blade b. A similar modification of the folding type of scissors with spring-pressed blade is described. In a further modification, Fig. 5, one scissor blade is dispensed with and the threads are severed by the cutting-edge q.Cataloged By
