26,337. Selley, W. Nov. 21. Shears. -- In shears for cutting grass edgings, in which the blades give a drawing cut, the bottom blade a is rigidly fixed at the requisite angle at the end of a handle c and is pushed along underneath the grass, while the top blade b is pivoted eccentrically on a spur d on the blade a. A supporting-wheel may be fitted to the bottom blade. According to the Provisional Specification, springs may be used to connect the rear ends of the blades. Specification No. 1181, A.D. 1882, is referred to.
