Shears. -- In shears for cutting grass edgings, in which the blades give a drawing cut, the bottom blade a is rigidly fixed at the requisite angle at the end of a handle c and is pushed along underneath the grass, while the top blade b is pivoted eccentrically on a spur d on the blade a. A supporting-wheel may be fitted to the bottom blade. According to the Provisional Specification, springs may be used to connect the rear ends of the blades.
