Sheep shears. -- The tangs E of the blades D are formed with recesses f, dovetail tenons e, and tongues d to fit into corresponding counter-parts of the handles B which are formed in a piece with the bow A. The parts are fitted together by sliding sideways and are secured by screws G to prevent side-play. The shanks thus formed have a curved outer surface and are corrugated or roughened to give a good grip for the hand.Cataloged By
