Table, carving, and pruning knives; shears. -- The bolster of the knife is made with a projection A which is bent over and forced into, or screwed to, the handle. A second improvement consists in providing the knife with a shear blade. The Figure shows a poultry carver with a shear blade B for cutting hard parts. The pivot end of the shank passes through a slot in the blade of the knife. A similar arrangement can be applied to dinner, pruning, and other knives.Cataloged By
