Shears. -- Sheep shears are provided with an adjustable and detachable strap, which joins the two shanks, and the length and position of which can be varied. The strap j, Fig. 1, is attached at one end to a cross-bar g in the concavity of the shank a, passes through one or more swivelling loops i, and is attached at the other end to a hook h which passes through one of a series of holes in the strap. The strap may merely pass round the bar g, Fig. 2, through the loop i, be doubled back upon itself, and be fastened by a buckle h1.Cataloged By
