Scissors for cutting wicks, &c. The blades are variously curved and may be either long or short. The thumb bow may be fixed at right-angles to the finger-bow, or may be pivoted to turn into that position. This spring may be the tail of a spring s for opening the scissors. The finger shank E may be doubled on itself to afford a rest. Short-bladed cutters which work inside the wick-holder have a track in the lower blade to bring it flush with the top of the holder. The under blade may have two holes to fit over pins on a rest of disc on the lamp or on the gallery.Cataloged By
