5101. Allison, H. J., [Lytle, A. J.]. April 13. Shears, sheep. The blades A are made of thin metal and strengthened by ribs B, which also serve to keep the edges away from the animal's skin. The blades are inserted into sockets in the shanks C and held there by set-screws; or the blades may have eyes which are held between lugs on the shanks. The shanks are pivoted at D and have the spring E placed between them.
