5845. Boult, A. J., [Phillips, J.]. April 5. Shears for gathering grapes. The apparatus consists of a pair of tongs, to one of the jaws of which a knife B is attached, the edge of the other jaw being sharpened to form a pair of shears. The tongs hold the bunch of grapes after the stem is severed and render any handling of the grapes unnecessary.
