Shears. -- The object is to afford protection to the hand of the operator, and to form stops for the blades. To this end the shanks are prolonged and bent over to form rounded surfaces for the hand, as at A, A1. The bent part of each shank is prolonged over the shank end of the blade B1, forming a guard C and a stop for the opposite blade B.Cataloged By
